What material is The Crop Shaver® made of?
The Crop Shaver® is made of ABS. ABS stands for Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene. ABS is an impact-resistant engineering thermoplastic and amorphous polymer.
What features make The Crop Shaver® superior to other shavers?
The Crop Shaver® was designed and engineered specifically to shave the groin. A wide, pivoting head navigates the contours of your package effortlessly so you never miss a patch. A rubber comb straightens your hair and keeps blades at the optimal distance from your skin. Extra wide lubricated strips soothe the skin with avocado oil, aloe vera, and vitamin E while providing lubrication above and below the blades for a comfortable glide. And a wide, ergonomic, non-slip handle gives you a better grip in the shower to get those hard-to-reach areas.
How do I use The Crop Shaver® and avoid cuts while shaving?
When using The Crop Shaver® we recommend going slow and steady. Every device is different and takes a while to get used to. Below you will find the recommended steps for using our new three-blade cartridge razor, The Crop Shaver®:
- Slowly glide The Crop Shaver® with the grain (in the direction the hair grows).
- Rinse your razor after each pass.
- Repeat.
- Once you’re smoother than an aged whiskey, rinse your razor and groin thoroughly.

Whether you’re deciding to go completely bare down there or you choose to keep some of your lower landscape, we recommend trimming the area before going in with The Crop Shaver®.
If a close shave is your goal, start by buffing your groin with Crop Exfoliator®, then go in with Crop Gel®, and then start slowly gliding The Crop Shaver® with the grain (in the direction the hair grows).

How often should you shave your groin?
The simple fact is that guys grow their hair at different rates. That’s a normal thing, and you should adjust your grooming sessions to match your hair growth. Some guys have to shave their groin every week. Some guys only have to shave once a month. But most guys will end up shaving three to four times a month for the best results. It’s a matter of figuring out when your hair is long enough to cause discomfort (mental or physical discomfort), and figuring out how to give your skin extra time to recoup between sessions.
How do you shave your groin without getting razor burn?
1.) Start with a trim. We always recommend starting with a trim using a tool like The Lawn Mower® 4.0. Start with the longest setting on the guards, then work your way down.2.) Warm your balls in the shower. Taking a shower will do a couple of things. First, it will open your pores and soften any remaining hair. Second, it will relax your scrotum, making it easier to shave.3.) Apply shaving cream. Use a clear shaving gel like the Crop Gel® to cover the area you plan to shave. You may want to apply shaving cream several times to take several passes with The Crop Shaver®.4.) Pull loose areas taut. Start by pulling your shaft out of the way to tighten the skin around the base and make small, controlled strokes. Work to shave with the grain.5.) Rinse and repeat.
Take time to rinse your blade after every stroke and re-apply shaving cream as needed. Don't be afraid to take multiple passes over the same area.
